Great bat dating from Albert Pujols’ second season in the majors. The young Cardinals star followed up his Rookie of the Year season by hitting .314 with 34 Home runs helping St. Louis win the NL Central Division. Early in his career Pujols employed a variety of different brands of bats including ones borrowed from teammates. This one, however, is an Albert Pujols endorsed pro model. The Carolina Bats Pro Model bat features a special American flag added following the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and shows heavy use. The barrel is covered with white ball scuffs, blue ink transfers and bat rack marks. It is uncracked and features Pujols’ number “5” is written in silver on the knob end. The LOA from John Taube at PSA/DNA states that this is a batting practice bat. PSA/DNA sticker number 1B05326 is affixed to the end of the barrel. Certificate of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
