Rookie season game used bat from Bryce Harper. While most ballplayers have their name stamped on the barrel of their bats, Harper has chosen to have the name of “Deuce Noblitt” emblazoned on his. Who is “Deuce Noblitt”? His is in fact, a fifth-grade baseball fan from Ocean Springs, Mississippi who had been diagnosed with a neurological brain condition. Harper had chosen to honor the young fan having the brave young fellow’s name on his bat. The 2012 National League Rookie of the Year used this bat to hit his career 11th and 12 home runs on August 17 and 19th, 2012, and finally in the August 20th game against Atlanta the young phenom went 1 for 5 with a sacrifice and RBI as the Nats edged out Atlanta in 13 innings. MLB lists this bat being used from the first through the 11th inning, when it was broken. The two-tone Marucci CU7-M bat shows awesome use and has been shattered lengthwise and taped together. 5” x 1” piece of wood is missing from the handle (not on the endorsement side). The barrel has been custom imprinted with “Deuce Noblitt” and shows many ball marks and stitch imprints with ink transfers. Upper and lower handle shows a heavy coat of pine tar. The knob has a Washington Nationals team sticker attached with Harper’s number “34”. Also shown is AP photo of Harper using this bat on August 17, 2012 as well as august 19th. MLB hologram sticker number EK 193204 is affixed to the barrel. Certificate of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
