As the premier reliever in the game, Rivera’s 2006 season was filled with career milestones: in July he tied the record for All-Star Game saves with his third and later that same month saved his 400th game. By the time the season ended he had recorded 34 saves in 37 chances and for the 4th year in a row had an ERA under 2.00. Rivera’s black leather Nike Pro Gold M042/11 3/4” glove from the 2006 season shows moderate game use and various scuffs and turf marks are evident. “Mariano Rivera” is embroidered in white on the thumb above which the Yankees ace has signed and added “GAME USED” in silver ink. “Phil: 413” is embroidered in red on the bottom edge of the thumb and number “42” is embroidered in white on the fleece lined wrist strap.
