Presented here is a 1929 “Babe Ruth” Benrus wristwatch. Ruth endorsed Benrus, a company started in New York City in the early 1920s, lending his name to the pricy jewelry. This watch is silver, with an intricate pattern design surrounding the face of the watch. Ruth’s facsimile signature is printed on the rectangular face of this watch, along with “Shock Proof” and “U.S.A.” This watch is a tremendous piece of baseball history, as well as a sterling example of United States watch making. The watch is not in working condition.
