In the span of less than a decade, the expansion New York Mets went from the laughing stocks of the sporting world to World Series Champions. Powered by the pitching of Tom Seaver, Nolan Ryan and Jerry Koosman, the Amazin’ Mets swept aside Hank Aaron’s Atlanta Braves in the first NLCS and proceeded to surprise the nation by defeating the unstoppable Baltimore Orioles in five games. No other team in Mets history is as fondly remembered as this first championship squad and this Adirondack Tom Seaver model bat contains the signatures of 23 members of that Amazin’ team: Tom Seaver (Hof), Nolan Ryan (Hof), J.C.
