Presented here is a photograph of Mickey Mantle from 1951, his rookie season in the Major Leagues. Splitting time between AAA and the Yankees, Mantle was still able to help the Yankees win the World Series in the fall of ’51. The Hall of Famer is pictured here as an infielder, dressed in his home whites and wearing a glove on his left hand. An American League “Golden Anniversary” patch is affixed to the left sleeve of his pristine, pinstriped jersey. Mantle signed this photograph in blue marker, adding the inscription “1951” below his signature. This item, which measures 11 x 14 inches, comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (V13718).
