Bruising New York Giants fullback Madison Hedgecock wore this blue home jersey during the 2008 NFL season. Hedgecock, who helped the Giants win the Super Bowl in 2007, blocked for a pair of 1,000-yard rushers in Brandon Jacobs and Derrick Ward, only the fifth time in NFL history that this feat has occurred. Hedgecock recorded eight catches for 52 yards and a touchdown in 2008, and was named as a second team All-Pro selection.
This jersey has Hedgecock’s number “39” sewn on the chest, back, and shoulders in white tackle twill. “HEDGECOCK” is sewn on the back of the jersey in white tackle twill over an oblong blue nameplate. An “NY” logo patch and a NFL Equipment logo patch are sewn on the chest of the jersey, while white Reebok logo patches are sewn on each sleeve. A Reebok tag with attached “2” L.B.” and size “44” flags is sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. An “08-44” tag is sewn on the back inside collar. This item shows light use, and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema, who states that this jersey “was not worn in Week 1 due to a lack of the Gene Upshaw memoriam patch”.
