Oklahoma Sooners superstar Wayman Tisdale was presented with this watch for appearing in the 1985 NCAA Tournament. Tisdale, in his final year in college, was the Big 8 Player of the Year and a member of the First Team All-America for the third consecutive year. He led the number one seed Sooners to an appearance in the Midwest Regional Final, where they fell in an agonizing 63-61 defeat to the number two seed Memphis State Tigers. Tisdale, who averaged over 25 points and 10 rebounds per game in his college career, declared for the 1985 NBA Draft after the season, and was selected second overall by the Indiana Pacers.

This watch features a textured black band and a circular, gold bordered face. “1985 NCAA BASKETBALL” is etched in high relief on the face, above an image of hands placing a laurel wreath on a man and woman’s heads. “Division I Men’s Championship” is printed below the image. There are no numbers on the face of this watch. The strap is worn, indicating extensive use of this watch. The watch is not currently running, however it appears to be in working order. This item comes with a LOA from Regina Tisdale, the wife of the late Wayman Tisdale.
