Rube Waddell was one of the hardest throwers in baseball history. He was also one of the hardest partiers, too, as his hard drinking ways eventually cut his Hall of Fame career short. This card features Waddell on his last major league team, the St. Louis Browns in the popular throwing pose. This example exhibits brilliant color including a rainbow of five different colors in the background. The card is well-centered with three square corners and light wear to the upper left. Of the 67 copies recorded in PSA's census reporting to date, just six examples are graded at this level, with a scant three examples grading higher! Graded by PSA EX-MT 6.
