Playing for two of the most memorable dynasties in baseball history - Charlie Finley A’s and Steinbrenner’s Yankees, Catfish Hunter was at one time the game’s highest paid player and who’s career ended too soon due to diabetes and arm trouble. None the less, the larger-than-life Catfish won 224 games in his 15 year career that earned him a plaque in Cooperstown. This Wilson A2000-PS4 Professional Model glove shows outstanding use. Hunter used Wilson gloves throughout his long career and this one can be dated from the 1984-1986 period during which he was elected to the Hall of Fame and probably used it during coaching appearances. Hunter has personalized the glove with “CAT HUNTER” in black marker and also signed the inside thumb in blue ink. The signature has bled over the years but is still legible.
