The 1st United States Volunteer Cavalry, more widely known as the Rough Riders, would raise havoc in the Spanish-American War. Consisting mostly of college athletes, cowboys, ranchers, miners, and other outdoorsmen, the Rough Riders would require a firm leader. That job was handed to future President Theodore Roosevelt. Offered here is a seldom seen 6 x 9 inch matte-finish sepia tone photograph of the future President featuring his famed Rough Rider uniform and signed in the lower right "With regards of Theodore Roosevelt.” Overall in good condition with a crease to the right side. Professionally framed & matted to an overall size of 12 x 15 inches with light handling wear. This item comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA.
