The Grateful Dead has sold more than 35 million albums worldwide, known for their unique psychedelic style and devoted fan base known as "Deadheads". As one of the founding members of the Dead, Jerry Garcia helped build a band whose music touched on ground that most other groups didn't even know existed. Unsurprisingly, having built the band off of the counterculture and psychedelia of the 1960s, Garcia struggled with longstanding heroin and cocaine addictions and passed away of a heart attack in a rehab facility in 1995. He was consistently an elusive signer, and with his fairly early death, signed images of Garcia, especially photos from the Dead's height of popularity, are extremely scarce. Offered here is a black and white original softcover "Book of the Dead" signed by the musician in blue felt tip marker. A fantastic representation of Jerry Garcia in his prime!
