Probably the greatest hockey player of all-time, Wayne Gretzky wrapped up his 20-year NHL career playing with the New York Rangers in 1999. “The Great One” is the all-time leading point-scorer in the history of the game and the only man to score more than 200 points in a season, something he did four times! He’s also one of the games most beloved players and his good-sportsmanship is as legendary as his talent on the ice. This Hespeler 5500 stick dates from Gretzky’s final season. As befits the tool used by the greatest hockey player of all-time, the stick shows good game use. The blade has been wrapped in black friction tape and has a custom shaved blue foam Gripper handle. Most importantly, “The Great One” has signed the lower shaft in black Sharpie adding “NYR 1999”. PSA/DNA sticker number S10927 has been affixed to the shaft.
