The addition of Sheffield to the Yankees in 2004 set in motion yet another string of championship teams in the Bronx. “Sheff” hit .290 with 36 home runs and 121 RBI and just missed winning the AL MVP Award. The Original Maple GS11 NY model bat shows excellent use and is uncracked. Several ball marks and stitch impressions can be seen on the barrel along with several cleat imprints and black and blue bat rack streaks. The handle has been padded and taped up for an enhanced grip and the barrel end has the manufacturers specs written in black marker. Sheffield has signed the barrel between the company logo and the engraved model number in blue marker adding “2004 #11”. The birthdate of the bat is "10-1-04" which indicates it was shipped to Sheffield prior to the start of the 2004 post season. PSA/DNA sticker number 1B05306 is affixed to the knob end.
