Presented in this lot is a collection of 17 plaques, awards, and miscellaneous items awarded to and signed by former Major League manager Jim Leyland. The first six items include a framed display with four metal stamps, a small plaque presented to Leyland by Perrysburg High School, a framed clock from the Meadville Area Sports Committee, a plaque from 3-W-S Radio, the 1988 Pittsburgh Man of the Year Award plaque, and a framed Topps 40 Years of Baseball display. Leyland has signed each item, and each plaque or award comes with a COA from JSA (U32205 through U32210). Please note that the clock is not currently running. The next items include two plaques that were awarded to Jim Leyland from the Greater Pittsburgh Chamber of Commerce. The plaques measure 9 x 12 inches and 10.5 x 13 inches. Leyland has signed each plaque in blue marker. These items come with individual COAs from JSA (U32187 & U32188).
Next are two plaques awarded to Leyland from the Perrysburg, Ohio school district. Leyland has signed both plaques, which measure 14 x 11 and 8 x 10 inches, in silver marker. These items come with individual COAs from JSA (U32195 & U32196). There are three religious-themed plaques awarded to Leyland. He has signed all three of these plaques, which measure 8 x 10 inches, 8 x 7 inches, and 8 x 7 inches in silver marker. These items come with individual COAs from JSA (U32192, U32193 & U32194). Next are two plaques awarded to Leyland for his service with the Make-a-Wish organization. Leyland has signed both plaques, which measure 9 x 12 inches and 12 x 13 inches, in blue marker. These items come with individual COAs from JSA (U32185 & U32186). The last two plaques in this lot are from the United Way and the Salvation Army, both having been signed by Leyland. The Salvation Army plaque measures 7.5 x 10 inches, and the United Way plaque measures 12 x 15 inches. Leyland has signed the Salvation Army plaque in silver marker and the United Way plaque in blue marker. These items come with individual COAs from JSA (U32183 & U32184).
