A couple of players have hit more home runs than Mickey Mantle’s 536, but none were as loved or idolized as “The Mick”. Of the 536 home runs that earned him membership in the elite ‘500 Home Run Club”, 12 of them were walk-off home runs, a record shared only by Jim Thome. His 18 World Series shots are still the record and during an era of great sluggers, he led the AL in the category four times. Twice he topped the 50 mark with 54 in 1956 as he won the Triple Crown and 56 in 1961 in the memorable race with Roger Maris. In acknowledgment of all the exciting home runs Mickey Mantle hit over his 20 year career, this specially commissioned Louisville Slugger has been stamped “COMMEMORATING 536 LIFETIME HOME RUNS LIMITED EDITION 1985 138/536”. The Mick has signed his classic autograph on the barrel in black marker. A beautiful tribute to one man’s incredible talent. Comes with full LOA from PSA/DNA.
