Jose Fernandez took Major League Baseball by storm in 2013, winning the NL Rookie of the Year and placing 3rd in NL Cy Young voting. Sadly, Fernandez was killed in a boating accident off the Miami coast on September 25, 2016, devastating the Miami community, the Marlins organization and all of Major League baseball. In a career and life tragically cut short, Fernandez had a 38-17 record with a 2.58 ERA and 589 strikeouts.

This colorful Marlins warm-up jersey was worn by Fernandez in the midst of that sensational rookie campaign. From the Majestic Cool Base Authentic Collection, this size 50 lightweight, black button-down jersey with orange underarm side panels reads “MIAMI” sewn in bright multi-colored tackle twill letters across the chest. The back reads “FERNANDEZ” in white tackle twill trimmed with silver above an orange “16”, itself trimmed unevenly with silver and black tackle twill. This jersey shows moderate wear and is accompanied by a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
