These offered two bases were used during the New York Mets 2008 season, the final one at venerable Shea Stadium, for two of David Wright’s career milestones. Each base has the “SHEA STADIUM 1964*2008 Mets” logo on the front. Both bases have blue “Mets” plates with the Shea Stadium logo on two sides and the “I LIVE FOR THIS” plates on the other two sides. One base was used for third base during Wright’s 100th career home run on April 13th, 2008 for the third through sixth innings in which Wright signed his name in blue marker and inscribed “100th Career HR 4/13/08”. The base shows outstanding use with dirt and scuff marks present and comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (BB897488) covering the game use on April 13 and Wright’s signature. The next base from the 2008 season was also a third base used during Wright’s 125th career home run on September 10, 2008. Wright signed his name in blue marker on this heavily used base with numerous dirt stains and inscribed “125th Career HR 9/10/08”. This item comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (LH045996) which authenticates the use of this base on September 10th and Wright’s signature.
