The lead crystal award was crafted by Tiffany & Co. and is etched with “NBA PLAYER OF THE YEAR 1997-98 MICHAEL JORDAN CHICAGO BULLS.” The crystal is mounted on a black base on which an etched plaque repeats “NBA PLAYER OF THE YEAR 1997-98 MICHAEL JORDAN CHICAGO BULLS.” The award measures 14 inches tall with a 7 x 2 x 3 3/4 inch base and is in very good condition with minimal wear from display and age. Examples of this coveted award rarely appear on the public marketplace, and to find one whose recipient is a player of Michael Jordan’s stature is quite extraordinary. No Michael Jordan championship ring or award has ever come to market and this may be the only such award to ever be offered.
