This vintage Spalding baseball glove has been autographed by Pittsburgh Pirates great Roberto Clemente, one of baseball's all-time premier players and a first-ballot Hall-of-Famer. Before his career was cut tragically short by an aviation accident in 1972, Clemente racked up 3,000 hits, two World Series championships, four batting titles, 12 Gold Glove awards, and 15 All-Star game appearances. He was as adored off the field as he was on it, earning a reputation for his extensive humanitarian work. In addition to Clemente's highly sought-after signature, the glove has also been autographed by New York Mets/Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Tug McGraw and Mets first-baseman Ed Kranepool. The players' signatures are on the back of the glove, while the names of the original owners and the year "71" are written in the palm. Full PSA/DNA authentication letter.
