After Red Grange became an NFL icon in his first year with the NFL Chicago Bears in 1925, he soon became embroiled in a money situation with Bears ownership, and immediately began the rival American Football League with his agent C.C. Pyle. However, this league lasted only one season. However, the two best teams were the Red Grange led New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Quakers, with both teams the only two teams in the league which drew large crowds. This full ticket is for the October 30, 1926 regular season game between these two teams, a game dominated by the New York Yankees 23-0, giving the Quakers their first loss of the season. The ticket has been graded by PSA as FULL AUTHENTIC. It has a vintage blue “COMPLIMENTARY” stamp across the front and contains four punched holes. Tickets from the only season of the old AFL are extremely rare, and this ticket is from one of the glamour games in that inaugural and final season, a game played in by the Galloping Ghost himself, league founder and football Hall of Famer, Red Grange. Graded by PSA FULL AUTHENTIC.
