Two awards given to the College and Pro Football Hall of Famer at the beginning and heyday of his career. The first is a 14” tall wood and metal “Number 1” awarded to White by the Hertz Corporation in recognition of “OUTSTANDING HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS PERFORMANCE 1979-80”. This was White’s senior year at Chattanooga’s Howard High and after graduation would go on to the University of Tennessee. The award shows some scratches and dings but remains a very impressive award. The other award offered was presented to White “IN APPRECIATION FOR YOUR TIME AND EFFORT From Acme Markets 1168 QWL”. This award dates from White’s 1985-1992 time with the Eagles as Acme Market 1168 is in Gloucester City, NJ, outside Philadelphia. The wooden plaque is 8x10” with brass fixtures and shows some scratches and scuffs from storage. A unique group of awards from the long career of one of the game's greatest defensive ends.
