This Official American League Gene A. Budig baseball has been signed by Sachio Kinugasa and Masanori Murakami. Kinugasa, who played in 2,215 consecutive NPB games, signed the sweet spot in blue pen. He signed his name in Japanese on the panel to the south of the sweet spot. Murakami, the first Japan-born player in the Major Leagues, signed his name in blue pen in both English and Japanese on the panel to the north of the sweet spot.
