The Hall of Fame ace Ed Walsh has signed this cut. Walsh pitched 13 of his 14 seasons for the Chicago White Sox and finished his career with the lowest ERA in baseball history at 1.82. Walsh had an ERA under 2.00 six times, and his worst ERA in a season he started 10 or more games was 2.58. In 1908, Walsh won 40 games, making him the last pitcher to reach that hallowed mark. Walsh was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1946. The Pennsylvania native has signed this 3 x 5-inch index card in black pen, inscribing “White Sox Chicago” below his signature. This item comes with a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication (A76072).
