Tebow burst onto the national scene in 2011 when he emerged from a second-string back up on a losing team to become the starting quarterback who took his team to their first playoff berth since 2005. Along the way he gave the English language a new word, “Tebowing” and his thrilling, come from behind heroics had the nation on the edge of their seats every Sunday. Offered here is Tebow’s own jersey worn during his junior and senior year at Nease High School in Ponte Vedra, Florida. The jersey originates from a Nease High School football coach. According to the coach, this particular style of jersey was only worn on two occasions, once in 2004 and once in 2005 during games the head coach deemed “special”. They must have brought luck: in the 2004 game Tebow was 16-27 passing for 373 yards and 4 touchdowns as Nease won 59-7. The next year Tebow was 4-5 for 100 yards and 2 touchdowns as Nease won again 63-20. The black mesh Bike jersey has “NEASE” on the front and Tebow’s number “5” silk screened on both sides in white. The school retired Tebow’s “5” after the 2005 season. The jersey shows good game use with some scuff marks. White silk screened graphics are bright and displays great. Only four other Tebow high school jerseys exist, and they are all owned by his family and this is the only example of this “special” black version. MEARS has graded this jersey a perfect A10 and a notarized affidavit from one of his high school coaches regarding the history and provenance is included. Also included is videotape of the game, as well as videotape of Tebow putting on the jersey.
