Offered here is a collection of three game used Official Major League Robert D. Manfred Jr. baseballs used during Boston Red Sox games in 2016 and 2017. The first baseball in this lot was used during the Red Sox 12-7 loss to the Baltimore Orioles on June 2nd, 2016 at Camden Yards. Ubaldo Jimenez of the O’s pitched this ball to Xander Bogaerts in the top of the sixth, surrendering a two RBI single to Boston’s Aruba-born shortstop. This ball comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (HZ 426001). The second ball in this lot was used in April 17th, 2017, during the Sox 3-0 road loss against the Toronto Blue Jays. Francisco Liriano pitched this ball to Mookie Betts and Hanley Ramirez in the top of the fourth inning. Liriano struck out Betts before Ramirez reached base on an error by Jays shortstop Troy Tulowitzki. This baseball comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB 943887). The final baseball in this lot was used during the Red Sox 13-6, 15-inning road victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on September 15th, 2017. Chase Whitley pitched this ball to Xander Bogaerts in the top of the 15th, with Bogaerts knocking an RBI single to push the score to its final line of 13-6. This was Bogaerts’ 669th career hit and 298th career RBI. This baseball comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (EK 525397).
