Offered here is a charm originating from the “Battle for the Rag” contest between Louisiana State University and Tulane University in 1949. LSU, ranked #13 at the time, traveled to Tulane Stadium on November 26th, 1949, and shut out the #10 ranked Green Wave 21-0 in a pitched rivalry battle. This charm is shaped like a football, with a cubic zirconium gem set in the laces of the football. A raised “L” logo for LSU is located above the gem. This pendant is etched with “LSU 21 Tulane 0”, “1949”, “J Baird Tackle”, and “10k”. This pendant measures approximately 1.25 inches long and is in good condition.
