Miles Mikolas surrendered a single to Josh Reddick before throwing a pitch in the dirt to Jed Lowrie, with the ball subsequently being removed from play. Manfred Jr. sphere, was used during the A’s home game against the New York Yankees on May 22nd, 2016. Coco Crisp hit this ball for a double off Michael Pineda in the bottom of the third for the 1,499th hit of his career. The A’s lost this game 5-3. The third baseball in this lot, an Official Major League Robert D. Manfred Jr. baseball, was used during the A’s home game against the Boston Red Sox on May 21st, 2017. Eduardo Rodriguez of the Sox threw a 1-2-3 inning in the bottom of the fifth with this baseball, getting Jed Lowrie to ground out, Mark Canha to fly out, and Rajai Davis to strike out swinging. Rodriguez earned the win in this game, a 12-3 Red Sox victory. The final Official Major League Robert D. Manfred Jr. baseball in this lot was used during the A’s home game against the Chicago White Sox on July 4th, 2017. Tommy Kahnle pitched this ball to Franklin Barreto of the A’s, who fouled the pitch off, leading to the red and blue stitched ball’s removal from play. Two pitches later, using a different baseball, Barreto hit a walk off solo home run to give the A’s a 7-6 victory. This baseball comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JC 353102).
