JULY 19TH AUCTION

Great game used bat from Kemps first full season in the Majors. Making the Dodgers out of spring training, the promising young player crashed into the outfield wall in pursuit of a fly ball. Kemp spent the next few months recovering in the minors but came roaring back with a vengeance in June batting .342 with 10 home runs throughout the rest of the summer. Kemp’s Old Hickory Pro P100 bat exhibits heavy game use but is uncracked. Ball marks with blue ink transfers, stitch impressions and cleat imprints can be seen on the barrel. Blue bat rack paint streaks can be seen and Mota Stick coats the lower handle while pine tar coats the upper. The length “34.0” and weight “32” is stamped on the barrel end and model number “P100” and weight/length “34/32” is written in black ink on the knob end. Kemp’s number “27” is also written on the knob in black marker. Letter of Authenticity from Steiner Sports and PSA/DNA who have graded this bat a perfect GU 10.
