Hall of Fame center Kareem Abdul-Jabbar was presented with this watch by the NBA in commemoration of his being named to the 1979-80 All-NBA First Team. Abdul-Jabbar was the best player in the league in 1980, winning his sixth and final NBA MVP trophy that same season. The former UCLA Bruin averaged 24.8 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game for the 60-22 Lakers. Abdul-Jabbar also averaged a league-high 3.4 blocks per game and was named to the All-NBA Defensive First Team. In the playoffs, Abdul-Jabbar led the Pacific Division-winning Lakers to the NBA Finals, where they defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in an up-and-down six game set that saw both teams score over 100 points in all six contests.

This watch has a numberless face, with a NBA logo and a small section that shows the date on the face. The hands are gold colored, and the face is ringed by a green border. The reverse side of the watch face is etched with “Kareem Abdul-Jabbar / 1979-80 / NBA All-League Team”. The band of this watch is silver and gold. This watch does not currently run but appears to be in working condition. This item derives directly from Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a personally hand-signed LOA from Kareem will accompany this item.
