Super piece of lumber used during the 2000 World Championship season by the “Heart & Soul” of the last Bronx dynasty, Paul O’Neill. The popular outfielder led the team to the pennant, batting .283 with 18 home runs before clobbering their cross-town rivals in the World Series. This Louisville Slugger C243 bat shows heavy game use with a cracked handle which has been repaired. Ball and stitch marks pepper the barrel as do ink transfers and cleat impressions. Marks from a weighted donut can be seen as well. O’Neill trademark cross-stitched adhesive tape winds around the handle which is coated lightly with Mota Stick. O’Neill has signed the barrel in blue marker and added his number “21” and “Game Used 2000”. Two PSA/DNA stickers (numbers 1B05031 and U28030) are affixed to the barrel end. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA who have given this bat a perfect grade of GU 10.
