While most bats ordered by the Yankee captain have a Black/Smith finish, the bat offered here carries the standard black finish. That distinction enables the bat to be pinpointed to Jeter’s April 2, 2002 order from Louisville Slugger. During that season Jeter batted .297 with 18 home runs, led the majors in stolen base percentage and appeared in his 5th All-Star game. This 34”, 33.8oz Louisville Slugger model P72 is uncracked and carries a heavy coat of Mota stick on the handle. The bat shows outstanding use with ball marks, stitch impressions, white leather scuffs and blue ink transfers. PSA/DNA sticker number C86444 is affixed to the knob end. Letter of Authenticity for the bat from PSA/DNA. PSA GU 9
