This signed helmet has been MLB authenticated as being used during Game 1 of the 2011 NLDS, and has been inscribed as such under the bill by Albert. Helmet can be photo matched to 18 out of 21 road home runs hit during the 2011 season, including September 1st, when Albert blasted two home runs, including his 12th career grand slam. Helmet has been definitively matched to games from 5-23-11 through the very last regular season game of Albert's Cardinal career, which includes his last regular season at bat as a Cardinal. Due to the extensive use and photo matches of the helmet and the early season usage, we believe this helmet was the only one issued to Albert for the entire regular season. A truly historic piece from a future Hall of Famer, one of the greatest hitters to ever play the game.
