Houston Astros second baseman Jose Altuve hit this offered Official Major League Robert D. Manfred Jr. baseball for a double during the Astros road game against the Los Angeles Angels on May 16th, 2018. This baseball was used during the top of the opening inning, first pitched to George Springer, who popped out to the catcher, and then to Alex Bregman, who lined out to deep right field. Altuve, the 2017 American League MVP and the number three hitter in the Astros fearsome lineup, rocked this ball to Mike Trout in center field for a double on the first pitch of the at-bat from Angels starter Garrett Richards. This game finished 2-0 Astros, with an Evan Gattis two-run blast in the second inning providing the only runs of the game.
