Performing under the pressure of being the greatest up-and-coming player to come along in a generation, Bryce Harper moved swiftly up the minor league ladder during the 2011 season. This bat is photo-matched to his first at bat at Harrisburg. Harper went 2-3 that day .This condition of this bat offered is most likely the results of a beating the bat took after a poor at bat as he is one of the most intense players in the game . The Marucci BH34 bat shows extraordinary use and the handle has been shattered. The barrel carries many white leather ball scuffs and stitch impressions with blue ink transfers. A man of devout faith, Harper has had “Luke 1:37” (“For with God nothing shall be impossible”) custom stamped into the barrel. Mota Stick coats the handle. Harper has used adhesive tape to enhance the grip, applied in his trademark way which has enabled PSA/DNA to photo-match this bat to a 2011 plate appearance. Harper’s number “34” has been imprinted in the knob end. PSA/DNA sticker number 1B05284 is affixed to the cupped barrel end. PSA authenticated the bat and noted that the bat was likely beaten by Harper into its present condition (PSA/DNA 6.5)
