In 1993, Wade Boggs, after spending his entire career with the Red Sox, shocked Boston fans by moving over to their hated rivals, the New York Yankees. During the next 5 seasons in pinstripes Boggs hit .313 and added over 700 hits to his Hall of Fame stats. This unbroken Louisville Slugger B349 cupped end bat conforms to the specifications used by Boggs during those 1993-1997 seasons. Outstanding use including cleat marks, stitch impressions and ball marks with blue ink transfers are what one would expect on a Wade Boggs bat. Moderate pine tar has been applied to the lower handle and center brand. On the knob end Boggs’ number “12” is hand-written in black marker. Best of all, Wade Boggs has beautifully signed the bat on the barrel in black marker right between the “Powerized” logo and the “WADE BOGGS” “YANKEES” imprint. PSA/DNA sticker number 1B05334 is affixed to the cupped end. Letter of Opinion from MEARS who have graded this bat A9 and Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA who have given a grade of GU9.
