Hal McRae established himself as a hard-hitting outfielder with the Big Red Machine of the early 1970’s, then moved on to provide the power behind the Kansas City Royals of the early 1980’s. This bat was used during McRae’s 1976 season in Kansas City, during which he played on his second All-Star team and just missed winning the AL batting crown by the miniscule .001 percentage point.
McRae’s 1976 Louisville Slugger carries the Bicentennial logo stamped onto H&B bats only during that one season. The bat shows light to moderate game use with a crack on the handle. There are ball marks visible on the barrel and the handle has been taped to enhance the grip. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B13700) for the game use.
