Billy Southworth was a MLB right fielder who played from 1913 to 1929. He finished his playing days with the St. Louis Cardinals and had a career batting average of .297. But it was during his managerial career in the big leagues where he enjoyed his most success. He managed four NL pennant winners (St. Louis Cardinals, 1942, '43 and '44; and the Boston Braves, 1948), as well as two World Series Champions (1942 and '44). He was voted into Cooperstown in 2008 by the Veterans Committee. Southworth signed in black pen this 5-x-7, black-and-white photo from Sporting News.
