This uniform is indeed a 1984 All-Star Uniform and was incorrectly identified in the print catalog as a 1983 All-Star Uniform

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar played in his 14th career All-Star Game in 1984. The contest was held at McNichols Sports Arena in Denver, Colorado. Abdul-Jabbar was the leading scorer for the Western Conference, dropping 25 points. The former UCLA star added 13 rebounds and 2 assists in the West’s eventual 154-145 loss to the Eastern Conference. Kareem’s teammate Magic Johnson handled backcourt duties for the Western Conference, scoring 15 points and dishing 22 assists to his fellow All-Stars.

In the 1983-84 regular season the NBA’s all-time leading scorer averaged 21.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game for the Lakers. Los Angeles finished the season with a 54-28 record, good enough to win the Pacific Division by a comfortable six-game margin over the Portland Trail Blazers, although Riley’s Lakers would fall to the Boston Celtics in the 1984 NBA Finals.

Offered here is Abdul-Jabbar’s jersey and shorts from the 1984 NBA All-Star Game. This white jersey has “WEST ALL STARS” screen-printed on the chest in red and blue, while Abdul-Jabbar’s number “33” is screen-printed on the chest and back in blue. “ABDUL-JABBAR” is screen-printed in blue across the back shoulders. The collar and sleeves are bordered in a red, white, and blue band. Alternating red and blue screen-printed stars run down the sides and shoulders of this historic jersey. Also included in this lot are Abdul-Jabbar’s white shorts from the 1984 All-Star Game. The shorts have a blue-red-blue waistband and “WEST” screen-printed in blue lettering on the bottom of each leg. Four red stars and four blue stars are screen-printed around each “WEST”. This 1984 All-Star Game uniform is accompanied by a LOA signed by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication, who have been photo matched this uniform to the 1984 NBA All-Star Game.
