The Boston Red Sox opened their 2016 season in style with a 6-2 victory over the Cleveland Indians at Progressive Field in Cleveland. Leading the way was star centerfielder Mookie Betts, who blasted a third-inning two-run home run of Indians ace Corey Kluber that gave the Red Sox a 2-0 lead. Betts would finish the day going 2-for-5 and wore this Boston Red Sox button-down road gray jersey during the Opening Day game at Cleveland on April 5th, 2016.

This jersey features “BOSTON” in Tuscan font across the chest in red and navy tackle twill. Manufactured by Majestic, this Flex Base size 44 jersey has gray mesh linings down each side. The Majestic tag is screen-printed on the bottom front left tail and the Red Sox bar code tag is applied vertically on the inside center tail and reads “#50 BETTS 2016 44”. The back of the jersey has “BETTS” sewn on in red and navy tackle twill, above his number “50” sewn on in McAuliffe style number in red and navy tackle twill. The MLB logo patch is sewn on the upper back neck. The left sleeve has the two-hanging-socks logo patch, which is above the Majestic logo that is embroidered in red. A great Mookie Betts gamer used for his first home run of the 2016 season and it comes with a MLB Authenticated hologram (JB042222), authenticating this jersey to the April 5th game.
