The Stockholm Nordic Vikings were a very successful football team in the short-lived Football League of Europe (FLE). Only in existence for the 1994 and 1995 seasons, the Nordic Vikings won the Euro Super Bowl both years. During their inaugural season of 1994, Stockholm finished 9-1 during the regular season, winning the Northern Conference. In the playoffs, the Nordic Vikings defeated the Amsterdam Crusaders in the semi-finals, then beat the Hamburg Blue Devils, 43-35, to win the Euro Super Bowl.
Offered here is a 10K gold 1994 Stockholm Nordic Vikings European Football championship ring, featuring the name “VIKINGS” over a CZ-filled “V” logo, set on a dark colored stone. Around the bezel setting reads “EURO SUPER BOWL I EUROPEAN CHAMPIONS 1994” in relief work. One side of the shank is centered by a team helmet, with the FLE league logo above and “11-1” (Stockholm’s overall record) below. The other side features a North Conference logo with the word “CHAMPS” underneath of it. “BANKS” appears at the top along with “18” and “SE”. Inside the band of this approximate size 9 ring is marked “10K”. This ring weighs approximately 22.3 grams and comes with the consignor's purchase LOA.
