The 2005 Chicago White Sox rode a talented, well-balanced team to 99 wins during the regular season and the AL Central Division title. Slugger Paul Konerko smashed 40 home runs to go along with his 100 RBIs, while Jermaine Dye added 31 homers. Scott Podsednik hit .290 with 59 stolen bases. Starting pitchers Mark Buehrle (16-8, 3.12 ERA), Jon Garland (18-10, 3.50 ERA) and Jose Contreras (15-7, 3.61 ERA) led an impressive rotation, while relievers Neal Cotts (4-0, 1.94 ERA), Cliff Politte (7-1, 2.00 ERA) and Dustin Hermanson (34 saves, 2.04 ERA) highlighted a very stingy bullpen. The White Sox finished their season with a World Series title - via a 4-0 sweep of the Houston Astros - as Chicago went a combined 11-1 in the playoffs.

Offered here is a 2005 Chicago White Sox World Series championship prototype ring, consisting of base metal, which does not include a center logo or stones. One side reads “WORLD CHAMPIONS 2005” with a nod to the team’s 11-1 postseason record. The opposite side displays “REINSDORF” at the top, above a mention of Chicago’s 99-63 record and a MLB logo. “OWNER” reads down below. This Jostens manufactured ring is an approximate size 10 and weighs approximately 48.7 grams.
