Drafted first overall in the 1987 MLB June Amateur Draft, Ken Griffey, Jr’s rookie season in 1989 was one of the most anticipated events in Seattle sporting history. Over the next 21 seasons, Griffey put together one of the most impressive careers in MLB history, launching 630 home runs and driving in 1,836 runs. In 2016, Griffey was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame, appearing on a record 99.3% (437 of 440) of all ballots.
