David Ortiz came over to the Red Sox in 2003 and immediately added the spark they needed to become contenders. The next year Ortiz hit 301 and 41 homers to lead Boston to their first World Series Championship since 1918. This great gamer dates from Big Papi's first six seasons in Boston. Big Papi’s 2003-2008 Louisville Slugger C243 model bat is un-cracked and shows light use. Several ball marks with white leather ball scuffs are visible on the barrel and Ortiz’s number “34” is hand written on the knob and barrel ends in silver marker. The future Hall of Famer has signed the barrel in silver pen adding his number “34.” This bat comes with an LOA from PSA/DNA (1B07828) for the game use and a COA from PSA/DNA (W45718) for the signature.
