The 2008 American League All-Star team defeated the National League All-Star squad, 4-3, in a 15-inning thriller at the old Yankee Stadium on July 15th and 16th. Boston’s J.D. Drew was named MVP after hitting a two-run homer in the seventh inning to tie the game at 2-2. This was the longest MLB All-Star Game in history (4 hours and 50 minutes). A total of 28 team members signed in blue ink this official Rawlings 2008 All-Star Game baseball, complete with blue/gray stitching, including AL Manager Terry Francona on the Sweet Spot. Other notable signatures include Dustin Pedroia, Ichiro,Josh Hamilton,Joe Mauer, Josh Hamilton, Roy Halladay, Manny Ramirez, Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera.
