New York Mets star third baseman David Wright wore this royal blue and red Norfolk Tides size “XL” Starter jacket during the 2004 MiLB season. Wright, who made his Major League debut on July 21st, 2004, played in 31 games for the Tides before he was called to The Show. Over these 31 games, the then-21-year-old hit .298 with eight homers, 17 RBI, and 34 total hits for the AAA team. Wright would go on to become one of the greatest players in Mets history, making seven All-Star teams and capturing numerous team records.
This jacket has a royal blue body with red sleeves. “TIDES” is sewn across the chest in navy, white, and silver tackle twill. A wave logo is sewn above “TIDES” in light blue, navy, and white tackle twill. This button-down jacket has a Starter tag with a size “XL” flag sewn on the back inside collar. Wright’s number “5” is written on this tag in black marker. This jacket comes with a LOA from the Norfolk Tides.
