During the last series ever played at Yankee Stadium A-Rod faced Tampa Bay’s Edwin Jackson in the top of the 5th inning. Striking out, the fiery Rodriquez slammed his bat down on home plate, resulting in the crack you see here on the handle of his Louisville Slugger. The bat shows good game use with many ball marks and cleat marks. Turf from historic Yankee Stadium still clings to the barrel of the bat. A-Rod has signed the bat in silver ink noting the historical significance with “game used 2008 Final Series at Yankee Stadium”. Authenticated by MLB and their hologram number LH 002224 is affixed to the barrel.
