Pujols’ last season with St. Louis was a memorable one as he and the Cardinals overcame a 10 game deficit and snatched the Wild Card from the Braves. The momentum continued into the playoffs where this bat was used in Game 2 of the NLCS against Milwaukee, 10/10/2011. The Cardinals slugger had four hits, scored three runs, smashed a home run, and drove in five RBIs as the Cards won 12–3. MLB has pin-pointed this bat to his at bat against Chris Narveson in the top of the 8th inning. Pujols’ Marucci AP5-M two-tone bat shows moderate use and the handle has been cracked in half and repaired. Ball and stitch marks are visible on the barrel as is the impression from a weighted donut. His number “5”, length (4) and weight (2.0) are stamped into the knob end. Pujols has signed the barrel between the Marucci brand and his stamped endorsement in black marker and added “Game Used 11 Playoffs”. The autograph has been authenticated by MLB and hologram FJ 880292 is affixed to the barrel. A Pujols Family Foundation hologram number 01055 is also affixed on the barrel. PSA/DNA sticker number 1B03235 is affixed to the knob end. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA who have given this bat a grade of GU 8.5.
