The best in a long line of great Dodgers catchers (Owen, Campanella, Roseboro, LoDuca, Scioscia..), Mike Piazza is regarded as the best hitting backstop in MLB history. Boasting star-status first with the Dodgers and then the Mets, this Piazza bat dates from his prime years wearing Dodger Blue. The Rawlings bat shows heavy use with a slight crack in the handle. The barrel shows many ball and stitch impressions and numerous ink transfers including a crystal clear “CENTER” transfer mark. The handle has a light coat of pine tar and the knob end has “Piazza” and the bat weight “33” in black marker. The barrel end has his number “31” in black ink. Piazza used his Rawlings 609B bats during batting practice and this one shows plenty of practice! PSA/DNA sticker number 1B03044 is affixed to the knob end. Letter of Authenticity from PSA/DNA.
