Brandon Phillips is one of the more underappreciated second baseman in today’s game. Despite consistently putting up solid numbers year after year and playing spectacular defense every night, he rarely gets mentioned in the same breath as other elite players at the position. This C271 Louisville Slugger was used by Phillips against the Philadelphia Phillies on September 1, 2012 at Great American Ball Park. Phillips broke this bat on his leadoff single in the bottom of the first against Vance Worley. Phillips signed this bat in silver and added the inscription “Game Used.” Signature has been authenticated by PSA/DNA and MLB has authenticated the game use and affixed their numbered hologram on the end of the bat.
